AMD to invest $400 million in India by 2028: Here’s what we know

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices said on Friday it will invest around $400 million in India over the next five years and will build its largest design center in the tech hub of Bengaluru. AMD’s announcement was made by its Chief Technology Officer Mark Papermaster at an annual semiconductor conference that started Friday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat. Other speakers at the flagship event include Foxconn Chairman Young Liu and Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra. Despite being a late entrant, the Modi government has been courting investments into India’s nascent chip sector to establish its credentials as a chipmaking hub. Google Meet hacks: How to change background image

Google has rolled out a small but significant update to its video conferencing platform called Google Meet. This new update gives admins the ability to provide a set of background images to other people in the call for more formal meetings. These images can be customised to reflect a company’s specific brand and style and thus can be helpful when multiple stakeholders are joining a more formal meeting from different locations.

According to the details shared by the company, admins can provide up to 15 images for each organisational unit or groups in their organisation. These images need need to be in JPEG format, landscape orientation, and 1280 x 720p in size. However, Google cautions that admins should always test the image before providing it to users.

As far as availability is concerned, Google said that it has already started rolling out this feature to users and that it will be available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers in the coming days.

It is worth noting that while Google is rolling out the ability to set custom background images to admins, this feature is already available to individual users. So, if you get the custom image that is in line with a company’s brand, you can also use that image in your meetings on Google Meet.
