AMD to invest $400 million in India by 2028: Here’s what we know

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices said on Friday it will invest around $400 million in India over the next five years and will build its largest design center in the tech hub of Bengaluru. AMD’s announcement was made by its Chief Technology Officer Mark Papermaster at an annual semiconductor conference that started Friday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat. Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro launched globally: Specifications, price and more

Vivi has finally launched its Vivo X90 series globally that includes Vivo X90, Vivo X90+ and Vivo X90 Pro. The Pro model is exclusive to China, while the other two models will be available in other markets as well. The highlights of Vivo X90 and Vivo X90+ include MediaTek Dimensity 9200, an AMOLED display, a 50MP Zeiss camera along with a dedicated V2 chipset for better photography and 120W fast charging support.

Vivo X90, Vivo X90 Pro pricing

Both Vivo X90 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro are launched in one single storage variant: 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The vanilla variant is priced at MYR 3,699 (approx Rs 70,000) while the X90 Pro costs MYR 4,999 (approx 95,000).

In terms of colours, the Vivo X90 model comes in Breeze Blue and Asteroid Black colour options, while the Pro model will be available in a single Legend Black vegan leather option.

Vivo X90 specifications

Vivo X90 features a 6.67-inch curved FHD+ Q9 Ultra-Vision AMOLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 2,800×1,260 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset and offers up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 storage.

It comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor and an IP64 rating for protection against dust and water.

In the camera department, the smartphone will come with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens that supports OIS and a 12MP portrait camera. For selfies, it comes with a 32MP selfie camera.

The smartphone is equipped with a 4,810 mAh battery that supports 120W Dual Cell FlashCharging. The smartphone runs on Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 out of the box.

Vivo X90 Pro specifications

Vivo X90 Pro, on the other hand, features a curved FHD+ Q9 Ultra-Vision AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, and 2,800×1,260 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by the same MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset and offers up to 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. It will run on Android 13-based OriginOS out of the box.

For photography, it comes with a triple rear camera setup that houses a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP portrait lens and a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens. For selfies, the handset will come with a 32MP front facing camera.

In terms of battery, Vivo X90 Pro comes with a 4,890 mAh battery that supports 120W FlashCharge support.
