AMD to invest $400 million in India by 2028: Here’s what we know

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices said on Friday it will invest around $400 million in India over the next five years and will build its largest design center in the tech hub of Bengaluru. AMD’s announcement was made by its Chief Technology Officer Mark Papermaster at an annual semiconductor conference that started Friday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat. Other speakers at the flagship event include Foxconn Chairman Young Liu and Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra. Despite being a late entrant, the Modi government has been courting investments into India’s nascent chip sector to establish its credentials as a chipmaking hub. Oppo Find N2 Flip will get 4 years of major updates and 5 years of security updates

Oppo launched the Oppo Find N2 Flip on Wednesday in the global markets including India. At the launch event, the company also confirmed that the clamshell foldable phone will receive updates for 5 years.

Oppo has confirmed that the Find N2 Flip will receive 4 years of major updates and 5 years of security updates. This will make it one of the longest software-supported clamshell phones.

Interestingly, the Oppo Find N2 Flip has arrived in India, which makes it compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. Compared to the Z Flip 4, the Find N2 Flip packs a lot more feature additions. Let’s take a look at its specs sheet.

Oppo Find N2 Flip specifications

Oppo Find N2 Flip features a 6.8-inch primary FHD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels. The screen has an adaptive screen refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz.

It also boasts a peak brightness of 1200 nits. It also has a 3.62-inch cover display with a 382 x 720 resolution. The cover display has several features and can also be used as a rear camera display.

Speaking of cameras, the device has a dual-rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie camera.

Under the hood, the Find N2 Flip is powered by a flagship MediaTek chipset. It has MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000+ SoC paired with LPDDR4 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage. The maximum RAM on the phone is 16GB and the maximum storage is 512GB.

Coming to the battery, the device packs a 4,300mAh battery with support for 44W SuperVOOC charging technology. It has a USB Type-C port for charging and audio. There’s a stereo speaker setup on the phone.

The clamshell phone has 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security. It runs on Android 13-based ColorOS 13.
