AMD to invest $400 million in India by 2028: Here’s what we know

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices said on Friday it will invest around $400 million in India over the next five years and will build its largest design center in the tech hub of Bengaluru. AMD’s announcement was made by its Chief Technology Officer Mark Papermaster at an annual semiconductor conference that started Friday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat. Other speakers at the flagship event include Foxconn Chairman Young Liu and Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra. Airtel Rs 359 prepaid plan gets refreshed: Here are validity, benefits and more

Bharti Airtel has refreshed its cheapest prepaid plan in India, including increasing its price. It was earlier revealed that the telecom operator is set to increase the base tariffs of several plans in the coming year. Airtel has given a price hike to its Rs 359 plan along with an increase in validity.

As per a report by Telecom Talk, Airtel’s Rs 359 prepaid plan came with a validity of 28 days, however, it will now offer a full month of validity. This validity will be irrespective of the number of days in the month, 28, 30 or 31 days.

The Rs 359 prepaid plan now offers 1 calendar month validity along with benefits including a 2GB daily data limit, unlimited calling over local and STD calling and 100 SMS per day. In addition to this, users will get access to any selected Xstream channel, including SonyLiv, LionsgatePlay, ErosNow and more.

Users will also get a 3-month subscription to Apollo 24|7 Circle, Rs 100 cashback on FASTag and free access to Hello Tunes and Wynk.

Airtel had already introduced two new prepaid plans in India, priced at Rs 489 and Rs 509.

Airtel Rs 489 plan: The new prepaid plan offers unlimited local STD and roaming calls along with 300 SMS and 50GB of bulk data. It comes with a validity of 30 days. As for the additional benefits, users will also get access to Wynk Music Free, Free hello tunes, Apollo 24 by 7 Circle, and Cashback on FASTag.

Airtel Rs 509 plan: This new Airtel prepaid plan comes with a validity of a complete one month irrespective of 28, 30 or 31 days of a month. In terms of benefits, this plan offers unlimited calling (both local and STD), 300 SMS and 60 GB data.

For the unversed, Airtel recently introduced its 5G network in two cities in Telangana and six cities in Andhra Pradesh. The telecom giant has already introduced its 5G Plus network in Hyderabad and Vizag.

Airtel 5G services are already available in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Akhnoor, Kupwara, Lakhanpur and Khour areas and in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore, Madurai, Hosur, and Trichy. The company also introduced the service in Odisha’s Puri, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Rourkela.
