AMD to invest $400 million in India by 2028: Here’s what we know

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices said on Friday it will invest around $400 million in India over the next five years and will build its largest design center in the tech hub of Bengaluru. AMD’s announcement was made by its Chief Technology Officer Mark Papermaster at an annual semiconductor conference that started Friday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat. Other speakers at the flagship event include Foxconn Chairman Young Liu and Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra. Infinix Zero Book series with up to Intel Core i9 processor debuts in India

Infinix on Tuesday unveiled the new Zero Book lineup of laptops in India. The Infinix Zero Book series comes with different models powered by Intel’s 12th-generation processors and integrated Iris GPUs.

The Zero Book range starts at Rs 50,000 in the country. Let’s take a look at all the details.

Infinix Zero Book, Zero Book Ultra price in India

The Infinix Zero Book range comes with four configurations having different prices. Following are its prices.

  • Infinix Zero Book Core i5 model – Rs 49,990.
  • Infinix Zero Book i7 model – Rs 64,990.
  • Infinix Zero Book Ultra Core i9 – Rs 79,990.
  • Infinix Zero Book Ultra Core i9 – Rs 84,990.

All the laptops can be purchased exclusively from Flipkart. The first sale will begin on February 3 at 12 PM.

Infinix Zero Book series specifications and features

The Zero Book series comes with a metal body design and has a unique design on the back. It has Zero branding on all models that glows while working on the machine.

The lineup has a 15.6-inch IPS display with an FHD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It has a 100 percent sRGB color gamut and 400 nits of brightness.

The Zero Book has two chip variants – Intel Core i5-12500H and Core i7-12700H, both paired with 16GB of LPDR5 RAM and 512GB of NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.

On the other hand, the Zero Book Ultra has Intel Core i9-12900H paired with 16GB/32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB/1TB of NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.

The series has a backlit LED keyboard and packs a 70Wh battery. It has 96Wh Hypercharger support, which comes inside the box. The series has a webcam with support for face tracking.

The lineup has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 support. One of the highlights of the Zero Book laptops is the Overboost switch, which turns on the Red hinge light and toggles maximum performance from the machine.

Apart from this mode, there are also the Eco mode and Balance mode. The range boots on Windows 11 OS out of the box.
