AMD to invest $400 million in India by 2028: Here’s what we know

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices said on Friday it will invest around $400 million in India over the next five years and will build its largest design center in the tech hub of Bengaluru. AMD’s announcement was made by its Chief Technology Officer Mark Papermaster at an annual semiconductor conference that started Friday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat. Redmi is all set to launch two new smartphones in India today: Redmi 11 Prime and Redmi A1. The Redmi 11 Prime will be available in both the 4G and 5G variants. Ahead of the launch, the company has confirmed that Redmi 11 Prime 5G will come with a 50MP dual rear camera setup and MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset.

Redmi 11 Prime will come with MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, a 50MP triple rear camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery. Redmi A1 is confirmed to come with a 5,000 mAh battery and a dual rear camera setup. It will come with a leather texture back.

Redmi 11 Prime 5G, on the other hand, will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. The smartphone will be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery. In terms of camera, Redmi 11 Prime 5G will come with a 50MP dual rear camera setup. It will launch in green and purple colour option.

Redmi A1 expected specifications

Redmi A1 is confirmed to come with a dual rear camera setup. One of the key highlights of the smartphone will be its leather texture back. The smartphone will house a 5,000 mAh battery and will offer a “clean Android experience”.
