-Head to the Settings menu

-Next click on Privacy option there

-Next, disable Read receipt feature from there.

Once the feature is disabled, your contacts will not be able to see when you view their WhatsApp Status. In fact, this works the other way round as well. Once the read receipt feature is enabled, you will also not able to see who viewed your WhatsApp Status.

The feature works in the similar manner for WhatsApp messages as well. Once the read receipt feature is disabled, your contacts will not be able to see blue ticks or know whether you read their message or not. This also works the other way round, in simple words, with read receipt disabled, you will not be able to see if a contact read your message, you sent them on WhatsApp.
