AMD to invest $400 million in India by 2028: Here’s what we know

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices said on Friday it will invest around $400 million in India over the next five years and will build its largest design center in the tech hub of Bengaluru. AMD’s announcement was made by its Chief Technology Officer Mark Papermaster at an annual semiconductor conference that started Friday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat. Other speakers at the flagship event include Foxconn Chairman Young Liu and Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra. Despite being a late entrant, the Modi government has been courting investments into India’s nascent chip sector to establish its credentials as a chipmaking hub. Motorola Moto e7 Power with 5,000 battery launched in India: First look

Motorola has launched its latest budget smartphone, Moto e7 Power, which comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery. It is priced at Rs 7,499 for the base storage model, while the higher-end 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model will cost Rs 8,299. The smartphone is exclusive to Flipkart and it will go on the first sale on the e-commerce platform at 12 PM on February 26. It will be available via offline retails stores as well. In India, Moto e7 Power will compete with the likes of Realme C3, Xiaomi Redmi 9i and Poco C3.
