AMD to invest $400 million in India by 2028: Here’s what we know

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices said on Friday it will invest around $400 million in India over the next five years and will build its largest design center in the tech hub of Bengaluru. AMD’s announcement was made by its Chief Technology Officer Mark Papermaster at an annual semiconductor conference that started Friday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat. Other speakers at the flagship event include Foxconn Chairman Young Liu and Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra. Despite being a late entrant, the Modi government has been courting investments into India’s nascent chip sector to establish its credentials as a chipmaking hub. Poco X3 Specifications, features

The Poco X3 features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz sampling rate. The device has HDR10 certification, and you get an LCD panel. The smartphone is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, there is an octa-core Snapdragon 732G processor. It is backed by Adreno 618 GPU, 6GB RAM, and up to 128GB storage. The latter is further expandable up to 256GB using a dedicated microSD card slot.

As far as cameras are concerned, the company offers a quad rear camera setup on this phone. The main lens is a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682.
