AMD to invest $400 million in India by 2028: Here’s what we know

US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices said on Friday it will invest around $400 million in India over the next five years and will build its largest design center in the tech hub of Bengaluru. AMD’s announcement was made by its Chief Technology Officer Mark Papermaster at an annual semiconductor conference that started Friday in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s home state of Gujarat. Other speakers at the flagship event include Foxconn Chairman Young Liu and Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra. Despite being a late entrant, the Modi government has been courting investments into India’s nascent chip sector to establish its credentials as a chipmaking hub. Earlier this year, WhatsApp also released the dark theme feature for the web version.

First let me tell you how to open the web of the messaging app, in case you are unaware. The first step is to visit the web version and then open the WhatsApp app on your phone.

You need to tap Menu and select WhatsApp Web. Now, point your phone at the screen and capture the code. This will immediately log you into the web version of the social messaging service. You will find the theme section in the Settings. How to set Dark mode on WhatsApp Web

Step 1: Log into the WhatsApp Web using the messaging app.

Step 2: Click on the three-dotted icon located on the top left corner. You need to select settings and go to the Theme section.

Step 3: In the “Theme” section, you get three options, including Light, Dark, and system default. Here you can set the dark or light theme as per your preference.
